CROSS RIVER MINING STAKEHOLDERS' FORUM TO HOLD IN CALABAR

The Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in collaboration with the State Ministry of Solid Minerals Development, will hold a 2-day Mining Stakeholders' meeting on the 12th-13th of March, 2020 at 9.00am daily at Gomays Plaza Hotel, Atekong Drive Drive, Calabar. 

The forum will serve as a platform for Government and Miners to interact closely in a bid to address issues affecting the mining sector in the State.

Themed " The Role of Stakeholders in Combating Illegal  Mining and its Effects in Cross River State", the forum  shall discuss issues such as; Illegal Mining Activities and the role of the Community in Combating it, Harmonizing Multiple Taxation, the Nigerian Mining Cadastre System and more. 

Guest speakers for the forum to include the Commissioner for Solid Minerals Development, Rt. Hon. George O'Ben-Etchi, the Federal Mines Officer, Cross River State, Engr. Mayowa Omosebi, amongst others.
